Dear Lovers of God,
It is time for Rumi’s Urs again; celebrating Mevlana Jelaluddin Rumi’s passing from the body into the arms of his Beloved, the Source of Being.
His actual day of passing is December 17th. As always, we pick the closest Sunday that works; in this case, Sunday, the 14th of December.
It will be held at 7:00 PM
under the auspices of the Light Upon Light Sufi Center
The Center for Performing Arts
3754 Pleasant Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN
upstairs, on the second floor, in the Chapel.
It will be held under the further auspices of the usual suspects,
Ted Tollefson and the Mythos Institute,
and David Schmit and the Wild Moon Bhaktas.
This is always very warm and loving. We don’t want to stop once we get started. Please bring a favorite Rumi poem to share.
